Cruising around on the interwebs, I happen to come across an amazing collage artist- Jody Rodgers. He combines landscapes and nature with geometric shapes and designs and often adds layer upon layer of interesting color combinations.
Here are some images of his work, but also, be sure to check out his Flickr and site!
A few of you may know me from modeling for our website (heyy!). Or maybe I rang you up for that nifty Freaker you bought last week in our store…I wrapped it with really cool tissue paper?…..no? Well anyway, I work at Edge of Urge and its pretty awesome, but I doubt any of you know me as an aspiring actress.
Always down for a project, I was so psyched when Oliver Mellan asked me to be in his short film for Indy Mogul’s Awesome Director’s Project. I was like, “hell yeah I will play a sexy siren who seduces men in a swamp!” I also get to play another main character (a complete badass by the way) who is obsessively trying to find the siren…yeah, a little confusing I know, but it’ll make sense when you watch it.
Lance Moncada, a fellow Edge of Urge employee, is THE official photographer on set. I have never fully appreciated this man’s talent until I saw him in action and he’s for realz good guys. Having a natural eye for the unusual and skewed, Lance captures angles of life that few can see. Here are some pictures (unedited!!) from last week’s shoots.

Every Wednesday Oliver will be post a tutorial on how we obtained some of the shots, as well as show some sick footage sneaks. Here is last week’s update!
I really hope to spark some interest in this project, as well as inspire some D list actors like myself, to take on local projects. They are fun, sexy (?), swampy (??), and practice is really essential to growing as an artist.
Stay tuned for this Wednesday’s tutorial as well as the premier of the final product on May 30th…2012!
