The Gravity Records and Edge of Urge “Pick of the Week” goes to the band that’s taken over our homepage for the entire month of August, our “Band of the Month” (read more here), HAMMER NO MORE THE FINGERS and their album, Black Shark!

At Edge of Urge, we got to spend a little time up close and personal with the boys when they performed in-store a few weeks back.  You knew that happened, right?  If you didn’t, you do know, and the band came to the store, set up, and played a very intimate 4 song acoustic performance for us and our customers.  It was pretty amazing.  Duncan, Jeff and Joe arrived early, quickly changed, had a little wardrobe change, a quick photoshoot then took the stage, or floor, and got to it.  Their music is amazing.  It’s toe-tapping, hand-clapping, beat-keeping amazing “Eagle-esque” sounding rock and roll. 

Soon, they will be taking the stage at WinocaFest with some other great musical performers, Those Darlins’, Gillian Welch, Mandolin Orange (to name a few) on August 27th!  We are giving away some tickets, so if you like music, next time you pick up an album at Gravity Records, bring us your receipt and you could win a free ticket!
