Francoise made me want to learn French.

In honor of Record Store day being this Saturday, I am highlighting one of my most favorite movies of all time, Empire Records (which was even filmed in Wilmington).  We are supporting our local record store, Gravity Records!  Empire Records taught me many things; it introduced me to Gwar, taught me that work can be fun, that friends are friends no matter what, and how to appropriately catch a shoplifter.  Damn the Man, Save the Empire!

I’m not a music snob by any means, but the fact that I love this song, well, it kind of surprises me, as well as my friends that I subject to listening to it over and over and turning it up when it comes on the radio.  But, I’m really into FUN.  And the song, We Are Young.  Not to mention how awesome it is that Janelle Monae is on the track, too!

Nicki Minaj’s new album is out!  Roman Reloaded!

There’s so much I love about her lyrical prowess, and running close to the top of the list is also my love for her crazy faces.

I am dying to be her BFF.  The album covered reminded me of how much I loved the Jeffrey Campbell Tick’s in Splatter paint and the Jeffrey Campbell King Bags!!

Sorry friends, you’re about to be drowned with Nicki Minaj beats for at least the next month.  Learn to love it like I do!
