We brought home baskets of flowers from the market, gold-rimmed glasses, a magnum of sparkling wine. We played cards on the shag carpet waiting for dinner, made them into a house, a castle, tall enough to say we colonized space that night; we turned off the lights and filled the bath in the dark, pouring in crushed violets and salt, enough to float.
The next morning dawns so luminous it's like waking up inside of a soap bubble: shiny, delicate, we decide we have to get to Half Moon Bay. Quick coffee and we're gone, the car's fins slicing up the coast, sharing bags of Jordan almonds we stole from the wedding, so smooth and so palely colorful, like pebbles from a magic stream, silver water, precious stones growing from the shores.
Available in a size 6 or 7.
Please note that all stones are one of a kind and therefore vary in color and pattern.
