Merewif uses gold-filled chains on certain delicate necklace styles. Gold-filled jewelry is composed of a number of layers wherein a gold alloy is permanently bonded to the brass core with both heat and pressure. Because of the permanent nature of gold-filled jewelry, this category tends to be slightly more expensive than plated or vermeil jewelry but should not be confused with solid gold jewelry.

To prolong the life of your gold-plated pieces, it's recommended to remove your jewelry when doing the following:

✦ applying lotions, oils, perfumes, etc.

✦ when having hair treated
