The inspiration:

"Charms are souvenirs, stand for the places we’ve been or want to be. They’re a travelogue, whether that journey is to cross a street or an ocean. There is adventure and meaning in everyday wandering, no matter where that might be, and we want to mark it with something as precious as the experience itself, miniatures standing in for the larger than life feelings that we had."
