Often imitated, never equaled.

The Filson Short Lined Cruiser is made with Tin Cloth, Filson's signature waxed cotton that outperforms and outlasts the competition. Since the 1920s, it has protected foresters and outdoorsmen from brambles and abrasion in the rain-soaked forests of the Pacific Northwest. No other waxed canvas matches its durability, weather resistance, or legacy of protection.

Filson's oil-finish Tin Cloth comes from British Millerain, pioneers of waxing cotton. At 14 oz. per square yard, it is twice the weight of its imitators. Its uncommonly tight weave makes it dense and water-resistant, with outstanding tear strength. Much like heavy-duty denim, Tin Cloth breaks in and molds to the body’s contours and flex patterns.

The hip-length cut allows easy access to pockets or a tool belt and won’t ride up when seated. The body is lined with lightweight canvas, and the sleeves with polyester for easy layering. Indestructible metal wreath buttons secure the front, cuffs, and adjusting tabs at the hem. The lower pockets are large enough for gloved hands and reinforced with bar-tack stitching. The left chest pocket is flap-covered, and the right is slotted for carpenter pencils or penlights.
